About me
I am Joek van der Zwaan, a PhD student at Utrecht University’s Copernicus Institute. This consortium offers me the possibility to combine my different backgrounds: a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Medicine from UTwente, a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from Utrecht University, and experience working with the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sports on the Sustainable Healthcare team.
What do I plan to do in the ESCH-R Consortium?
In Work Package 1, I hope to contribute to the analysis of the systematic barriers that hinder the implementation of circular interventions in hospitals. Equally important, I aim to identify enablers that promote the adoption of circular devices and practices.
Beyond ESCH-R
Outside of my work, I am passionate about running and I try to set new personal records. I am also an big football fan, and these past weeks have been particularly exciting (and I hope they stay exciting!). Additionally, I enjoy playing casual games where I can chat and have fun with friends.
