Last week, our team from the ESCH-R project had an inspiring visit to Medtronic. On Tuesday, June 18th, we visited their site in Heerlen, and on Wednesday, June 19th, we went to Maastricht. Medtronic, a globally operating company, is renowned for their innovative healthcare solutions and strong commitment to sustainability. Their vision aligns seamlessly with our mission to create a circular healthcare sector.

It was fascinating to see how Medtronic is dedicated to a sustainable future. They believe that people can only live healthy lives on a healthy planet and are taking concrete steps to reduce their ecological footprint. Innovative methods to cut down carbon emissions, minimize waste production, and reduce water consumption are just a few examples of their approach.

This visit provided us with a unique insight into their working methods and strengthened our collaboration within the ESCH-R project. Together with partners like Medtronic, we are working to accelerate the adoption of circular interventions in hospitals and reduce the ecological footprint of healthcare.

It was an incredible experience to see theoretical concepts put into practice and to exchange ideas that support our shared mission.
