In each episode, hosted by Nicole Hunfeld (ESCH-R Coordinator) and Dimitry Vleugel, we bring together sustainability and circularity experts from industry leaders such as Wittenburg Group, alongside medical professionals driving change in healthcare.
Our second episode features Anne Traa and Priscilla Lips from Wittenburg Group, discussing the importance of the partnership between ESCH-R and Wittenburg Group and how they reinforce each other. Priscilla: “Since the start of the ESCH-R project, we have more frequently received insights from hospitals. And with that, we’re gaining a much better understanding of what’s really going on in hospitals. What do healthcare providers need? What is important to them? What actually happens to waste in hospitals? All that knowledge and information really helps us in the discussions with our customers and to align on how we can take the next step together.”
And last but not least, at the end of the podcast, Anne and Priscilla posed key questions to our next podcast guest Philips: How does Philips specifically apply EcoDesign in the development of new medical equipment? How do they determine and prioritize the sustainability criteria relevant to specific product groups? Additionally, we are curious about how collaboration with hospitals within the ESCH-R project could contribute to this!
