Nicole Hunfeld at the CRISMA Conference at the University of Pittsburgh, USA

On March 4 and 5, 2025, Nicole Hunfeld, Principal Investigator (PI) for ESCH-R, gave presentations at both the CRISMA Conference and the Grand Rounds of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Department of Critical Care Medicine (UPMC).
On March 4, she spoke at the CRISMA Conference on “Greening Research: How Can You Make a Difference?”, highlighting the role of circularity in scientific research.
The following day, on March 5, Nicole Hunfeld presented “The Green Intensive Care: Creating Impact Together” during UPMC’s Grand Rounds. In this talk, she emphasized how circular initiatives in intensive care can contribute to a circular healthcare system.
Nicole also led an interactive workshop on the 10-R framework and the ESCH-R project, encouraging participants to explore ways to make research more sustainable. Key topics included:
