On Wednesday 16 October 2024, we had a productive meeting with a small group from Medtronic, discussing the value chain in healthcare and how ESCH-R collaborates with our societal and strategic partners to make an impact.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Johan de Kat and Jerry Vorm from the Department of Interventional Cardiology of the Erasmus MC to explore how we can make the product and patient journeys in this department more circular.

Together, we identified several key hotspots that can serve as use cases to explore in what way we can enhance the circularity of the product journey – from manufacturer to hospital to waste management – and to explore ways to make the patient journey more circular.

From simple adjustments to more complex changes, always keeping in mind the environmental impact! Exciting things ahead as we work toward a more circular healthcare system! More details will follow as soon as possible!
